Appointment of New President

Toshiba Mobile Display Co., Ltd. (TMD) has decided to appoint Makoto Kubo, the current Executive Officer and a Corporate Vice President of TOSHIBA Corporation, as the President and Chief Executive Officer effective June 24, 2010.

This decision has determined that Mr. Kubo will be a candidate to be appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer at the general shareholders’ meeting to be held in late June 2010 and the following board of directors meeting.

Mr. Yoshio Ooida, the current President and Chief Executive Officer of TMD, is expected to be appointed as advisor of TOSHIBA Corporation effective June 24, 2010.
