As a good member of society and a good corporate citizen as well as a community-based organization, we participate in social contributions strongly tied to the local community. To pursue harmony with society, we are working for harmonization with the local community through promoting mutual understanding with society and participating in social contributions.
Each site location is taking the initiative to participate in the community and activities ranging from education, culture, and volunteering to environmental protection. Our participation is at both the individual and organization levels, such as cleaning around the factory and sponsoring local events that assist in community development.
Ishikawa Factory has been supporting the fire festival, which boasts Japan's tallest bonfire, and the Kawakita Festival, which shoots up the largest number of fireworks in the Hokuriku District. Our employees take part in festival events, opening refreshment stands and giving away our original paper fans, and our involvement has been well received in the local community.

The Head Office takes part in cleaning activities in the city of Fukaya before the Fukaya Flower Festa held every spring. In addition, it is routine for us to clean the surroundings of the Head Office and the peripheral roads reaching the parking lots outside the premises during lunchtime at the beginning of every month.

Our Head Office and other Toshiba Group companies in the Fukaya area jointly hold a summer festival every year. We provide mimicry stage shows and open refreshment booths to provide entertainment to attendees from many local areas. We also provide exhibition sections for our environmental management and products to help the local communities to deepen their understanding of our approaches to environmental preservation and product production at our factories in the Fukaya area.

Toshiba Mobile Display respects human rights for each and every individual. It is our responsibility to provide a work environment where diversity is respected and we can work in comfort. Our organization and structure enables employees to always act with a sense of purpose and work to their fullest as professionals.
We at Toshiba Mobile Display have been implementing a wide range of activities in order to improve awareness and corporate culture through Toshiba Group events, enhancing and upgrading our system for better balancing between work time and private time as well as for supporting career promotion of women workers. We are committed to building a work place where each and every employee can demonstrate their individuality and capability. In 2010, we launched our Phase III Action Program, which includes our commitment to work-life balance. Based on this Program, we have been promoting specific approaches. In July 2007, we were certified as a qualified general business owner under the Next Generation Nurturing Support Measures Promotion Law and qualified for labeling of "Next generation accreditation mark (also known informally as ‘Kurumin’)."

At Toshiba Mobile Display, every employee, with or without disabilities, is involved in a wide variety of business operations while working in a team. We continue to improve our readiness to hire more people with disabilities and provide them with more opportunities to work.
As a principle of safety, based on the spirit of respecting human rights, we take all possible measures and continue our efforts to maintain and improve our working environment so we can be safe and healthy, both mentally and physically. Our measures include preventing accidents at work and promoting the health of our workers. Also at our Head Office and Ishikawa Factory, we have obtained management system certifications (OSHAS18001) for safety and health at work.
Toshiba Mobile Display supports employee participation in volunteering. We participate in activities in the community as well as disaster areas. We, as a corporation, continue our assistance for promoting employees' participation in social contributions of their own free will.
