Toshiba Matsushita Display Technology Co.,Ltd. (TMD) has launched the mobile industry's highest 2.4”, transreflective, low temperature p-Si TFT-LCD(liquid crystal display) with pure spectacle colors and plenty of pixel to commercial devices.

The manufactured low temperature p-Si TFT-LCD has materials with purer spectacle colors, and the combining new color filter matched with light-emitting diode (LED), light source for backlight and tranflective low temperature p-Si TFT-LCD leads to as much as LCD TV quality for a mobile and the industry’s highest transmitting color reproduction (NTSC ratio 72%). It became more true to the colors of images on display.

In addition, widening by 25 pixels vertically compared to the existing QVGA displays, the number of pixels became 240×3. This enabled showing all the display and at the same time showing icon, letters, information, and further information.

TMD has pursued “multi use display of usable anywhere and clear anywhere ”, and manufactured the tranflective low temperature p-Si TFT-LCD.

The low temperature p-Si TFT-LCD with high definition and compact is TMD`s core technology.
